Community Impact Statement

Community Impact is the mobilization of collective action to create measurable, cumulative lasting change that improves lives and builds resilient communities.

Changing conditions in the community requires a multi-level investment approach. While funding agencies to provide programs and services to the community and strengthening the network of services has and always will be an essential aspect of our investments, our Investment Strategy moving forward includes a broader range of activities in order to achieve greater community impact. United Way does this by facilitating research, community dialogue, policy reviews, communications, fundraising and investment, and evaluation.

Brant United Way is working to create a measurably better community. Our challenge today is to address the underlying causes of our most critical social issues. Our community needs United Way to be more than a fundraiser. Our community sets the agenda that drives the work we do. Our community needs a catalyst for social change.

If we could mobilize the caring, the compassion, and the strategic capabilities of the entire community – imagine what we could accomplish together. United Way is all of us. It is the WAY we can come together to make a difference – to build community – to build a great city/county where we all share in the lives of our neighbours.
